Definition and Usage
Defines an embedded applet.
Differences Between HTML and XHTML
The applet element was deprecated in HTML 4.01.
The applet element is not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD.
Tips and Notes
Note: To include applets, use the object element if possible (as the
<applet> tag is not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD).
Required Attributes
DTD indicates in which DTD the attribute is
allowed. S=Strict, T=Transitional, and F=Frameset.
